Retaining Walls

When building on steep terrain, retaining walls provide the necessary support for new or old structures. In many parts of the Bay Area houses are built on hillsides. If the soil gives way during an earthquake or storm, these homes run the risk of sliding down the steep slopes, possibly even damaging other houses. As a preventive measure, retaining walls can support the foundations of these homes. Furthermore, they can be used to reinforce driveways, basements, patios or wine cellars on steep terrain.

When it comes to landscaping, we have installed retaining walls as a decorative element, including concrete planters and stairs. Naturally, during the process, we will make sure to provide any necessary waterproofing and drainage.
